THE CLUB

Benedetta Bruzziches is a brand that puts people at its centre, and it is people it wants to reach. Our bags are made with the care you give to things that matter, and, as you know, care is the enemy of haste: it never sits well with large numbers. That is why the Club exists. Because when you try to speak to everyone, you end up shouting. We would rather speak softly, almost under our breath, and build connections with those who, through the noise, can pick out our sound and catch its nuances. The Club is not about exclusion, nor about exclusivity. It is a boundary, to be discovered in the most positive sense of the word: not raised to keep people out, but drawn to welcome them, as carefully as possible.

The Club is our promise to you. We ask for your time and your attention, and we take on the responsibility of making sure that time is never wasted. We will never claim we are not trying to sell you anything: our value begins with a product, and every purchase is the backbone that lets us exist. But we promise that every word will be sincere, weighed and meant for you. That every message, every invitation, will be a moment able to add something to your days.

WHAT'S THE CLUB?

The Club is not a place you pass through, but a space for intentional choice, yours and ours.

It's a genuine way to build meaningful relationships with those who choose to be fully present, where every experience is designed as a mutual, measured, sincere, and heartfelt gesture.

We've chosen to make certain moments exclusive to members, so we can take the time and space needed to express our vision of sustainable luxury: not just in words, but through actions. A luxury not defined solely by materials, but by the way we choose to exist in the world. In your world. And by the way we invite you into ours.

For us, sustainability also means this: a form of presence, of listening, of inner integrity.

It's about reconnecting with what truly matters, and reclaiming what is truly valuable.

The word comes from French: châtelaine means the lady of the castle. In the Middle Ages, the woman of the house wore a bunch of keys on a chain at her belt. She held the keys to the pantry, the cellar, the locked wardrobes. Anyone who wanted access to anything of value had to go through her. Those keys were the silent symbol of female authority. In the Victorian era the chatelaine became something to wear with pride. Fixed to the belt with a pin or a clasp hidden behind a medallion, it carried on those hanging chains the entire world of whoever wore it. There were working chatelaines, with scissors and thimbles for seamstresses, thermometers and pill cases for nurses. Mourning chatelaines, with pendants shaped like hearts, anchors and crosses. Ball chatelaines, with perfume bottles, smelling salts, tiny notebooks. They spoke without words. They revealed the life and habits of whoever wore them, like a visible diary hanging at the waist. The young daughters of the house, who had not yet received their keys, wore decorative versions with ornamental objects instead of locks. The form of power, before power itself. The chatelaine disappeared when bags grew larger, when watches moved to the wrist, when pockets were finally sewn into clothes. Objects found other places to live. "I created the Chatelaine by collecting fragments over the years," says Benedetta Bruzziches. "Each one arrived at the right moment, each carrying a story I don’t know in full, but which together trace my own. After all, every object carries with it the time of whoever has kept it."

Charm to fasten to the bag with the gold carabiner. You clip it to the handle or the strap, and then you forget it’s there. It moves with you, catches the light, makes the quiet sound of someone who carries something of value without needing to show it. What story will you choose to carry with you?

TO DO

Open an old drawer. Find an object whose origin you don’t know. Hold it in your hands and imagine its story. It doesn’t matter if it’s true.

TO READ

Virginia Woolf, "A Room of One’s Own", 1929. Woolf argued that every woman needs a room with a key. Not as a metaphor. As a prerequisite.

TO WATCH

James Ivory, "Howards End", 1992. The story of a house that changes hands, of who holds its keys and who deserves to. A film about custody: of places, of people, of things that matter.
