WE TEACH YOU TO MAKE, BY HAND

THE SCHOOL

Making with your hands is a way of thinking. It teaches the patience that precision needs, the time it takes to go from an attempt to a result, the value of the hours an object carries within it. Those who learn to make by hand learn to recognise that value. And knowledge that is recognised is knowledge that lives on.

At the School of Leathercraft of Bottega Bruzziches, knowledge is passed on as it always has been: from one person to another, from the hand that knows to the hand that learns.

CREATIVE LEATHERWORK WORKSHOP

Two days inside Bottega Bruzziches, in the heart of Tuscia, to create a bag with your own hands, from start to finish. Not a classroom, but the workshop where the Benedetta Bruzziches collections are born every day. You will learn to choose the most suitable leather, to build a pattern and follow its cuts, to sew by machine and by hand, but above all you will discover the value of the time it takes to make an object well.

The workshop includes:

  • 2 days at the Bottega (Saturday and Sunday, 9:00–18:00)
  • All materials and tools
  • The School Certificate
  • Lunch in Tuscia, cooked by Mamma Ada, on both days
  • Access to the workshop, the design studio and the collection at the Bottega
  • Your finished bag, to take home
  • If you wish, you can buy the kit to keep on creating

NEXT DATES: 18–19 APRIL 2026 · 16–17 MAY 2026

Maximum 8 participants per session.

TEACHERS

At the School you learn from people who do this work every day. Beside you at the table are the people who conceive, build and know every detail of Benedetta Bruzziches bags. They show you the gestures, correct your hand, and tell you the reason behind every choice.

Salvatore Nicosia, pattern maker and master artisan at the Benedetta Bruzziches School

Salvatore Nicosia

Pattern Maker & Master Artisan

Thirty years in the trade. He teaches at IED and at the Koefia Academy in Rome. At the Bottega he is the one who teaches you to cut, to build the pattern, to understand how a bag takes shape before you even touch the leather.

Agostino Bruzziches, co-founder of Benedetta Bruzziches and master of the leatherwork workshop

Agostino Bruzziches

Co-founder and CEO

He is the one who makes Benedetta Bruzziches bags. All of them. Since 2009 he has known every leather by its origin, behaviour and lifespan. In the workshop he guides you through every stage of construction and tells you how everything you touch came to be.

Claudia Mariani, designer and teacher at the Benedetta Bruzziches School of Leathercraft

Claudia Mariani

Designer

She is the one who turns an idea into an object that can be built. She introduces you to the vocabulary of the bag: proportions, strong points, the reason one curve works and another does not. Before creating, you need to learn to read.
