Apart from our father, who was a farmer and would hand-sew “catane” (that’s what the bags used by shepherds and farmers to carry their lunches are called) on rainy days, no one before us had ever thought of making bags in Caprarola.
To talk about Caprarola is to talk about our family, our friends, and its human touch—something we could never have found anywhere else and that is unique to us. It is what marketing experts call “competitive identity” that convinced us to build our company here.
Caprarola, however, is not an industrial hub: there are no companies with which to exchange goods and expertise or to collaborate on innovation. So we started from scratch. Creating the resources needed to launch our very first production runs—without being able to rely on a skilled workforce—required a bit of courage.
