Pondy is named after Pondicherry, an Indian city overlooking the sea, where everything – time, gestures, thoughts – seems to flow with a different kind of calm. It is from that lightness that this bag is inspired. Compact but well-structured, it is designed to accompany those who travel light but do not give up the essentials. It has two separate compartments, to keep everything in its place, and a hand-braided handle that can be adjusted: carried on the shoulder, over the shoulder, or on the arm, it fits the body and the moment. Braiding is not just an aesthetic detail: it is part of her identity. It is the sign of an important return-Benedetta’s return to braiding-and it was born in the same Indian atelier where, seventeen years ago, she began making bags.
