Benedetta Bruzziches envisions the <\/span>\u201cSempre Aperto Teatro\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/a> series as a curtain that never closes. A theater that is always open, where we move with our masks, playing roles that sometimes resemble us and other times deceive us. It is there, in this space suspended between truth and fiction, that the stories of Lia and Rachele come to life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Their story is ancient and beautiful, moving in its wisdom. Jacob, in love with Rachele, works for seven years to marry her. But on the wedding night, he is given Lia, the elder sister, less loved, less radiant. Perhaps every man believes he is marrying Rachele, the desired beauty, the promise of happiness, but after the wedding he discovers Lia: the harder, less conspicuous part, the one who comes with the weight of toil, silence, and waiting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yet it is Lia who gives Jacob the most children; it is she who proves more fruitful.
